The Structure
Centro Analisi del Mediterraneo is an analysis laboratory accredited with the National Health Service.
Highly specialised laboratory with modern instrumentation capable of producing reliable results in a short time and conducting uncommon research on blood samples, such as genomic research.
The activities carried out in the facility are those related to the pre-analytical and post-analytical phase: acceptance, sampling, sample processing, report delivery.
The analytical phase is centralised and carried out at the Centro Biologia Clinica e Laboratori Associati Laboratory in Via Generale La Rosa 10, Ragusa.
The Laboratory ensures the urgent blood sampling and analysis serviceafter documentation and evaluation of the need. Upon reasoned request, the immediate delivery of the report with the results available.
The Mediterranean Analysis Centre guarantees the reliability of results through the execution of analyses immediately after collection and according to internationally recognised methodologies, calibration and control of instrumentation according to a pre-established plan and in compliance with the best technical knowledge specific to each instrument and analysis, comparison of analytical performance with other laboratories (reproducibility and external verification of quality), evaluation/validation of the result before reporting, ability to reconstruct, with objective evidence, the history of the result (traceability).
Samples are stored when the chemical-physical characteristics remain unaltered over time and to allow for possible internal checks without the need for further sampling.
Availability, by appointment, for inspections requested by organisations, bodies, recognised citizens' rights associations, public institutions and companies.
